Faramir strolled through the dense woods of Fangorn Forest alone. He sword was at his side for some reason or another. He was thinking to himself, and was very content to be left alone. He had much to think about.

Artorius rode on his gleaming white steed across the lush plains of Rohan, approaching several collosal mountains and a forest that seemed to stretch on interminably across the horizon. He and his companions had been discharged from the Rohanian Army and were told to watch the borders of Rohan for any suspicious activity, even though they were not bound to the order. They were glad to help their former friends and amiably agreed to their wishes, patrolling from the eastern border of Rohan to the Gap of Rohan. Acting as a ranger was extremely perilous those days, as they could be killed in a matter of seconds if they met a band of blood-thirsty goblins. Of course, Artorius did not like to think of goblins and orcs as pure evil. The fact was that they were created that way and their purpose was to serve as the servants of Sauron, doing his evil biddings. As Artorius rode North towards Fangorn forest with two of his comapanions wearing the uniforms of rangers, his vigilant eye spotted some foliage that had been brushed aside at shoulder height. He lept off his horse, patted its mane, motioned for it to stay and run if it was in any danger, and headed into the trees along with his two companions. Artorius unstrapped his composite bow and took an arrow from the quiver that was slung next to his saber before continuing to follow the trail. They kept as silent as possible and he climbed onto a tree that he was sure was not an ent. His keen eyes observed the surroundings and spotted more foliage that had been lightly stepped on. Artorius and his companions followed the trail until he saw a man with blond hair standing about 10 yards in front of him. The man looked like a Gondorian. What would a Gondorian be doing here? thought Artorius. He raised his bow and put his arrow in place, unsure whether the man was what he thought he was.

Faramir heard the horses and he ducked down. He was wearing his ranger clothes as well which hid his almost perfectly from the other men. He waited

Artorius strode foward, deeper into the forest, keeping a vigilant eye out for anyone else that may have been hiding among the trees. He raised his bow to get a clear shot, but the Gondorian or what he thought had been a Gondorian had dissappeared. He turned to Boris, the man on his right and inquired, "Did you see anything unusual, brother?" "No," Boris replied before turning to the other man. "Did you, Galenhad?" The third man shook his head and looked around, a bit discombobulated by the towering trees surrounding them and Artorius's question. Then he answered, "I did not see anything, but only a ranger like ourselves would be able to avoid detection......" ((I have no clue to where this goes.))

Suddenly from behind Faramir appeared, an arrow in his bow. * Lay down your weapons. Or at least one of you will die. And i assume you are all brothers and that would be a great loss. * he said quickly as he eyed each of them *
(( Well lets have fun with it.lol)

Artorius whipped around to see the man with his bow drawn, pointing at him. He heard what he had to say and quickly motioned for his brothers to drop their bows and arrows. He raised his arms as if to surrender, but with prodigious speed, he drew a throwing knife from his back and threw it towards the man with the bow. The blade went spinning towards the Gondorian (or so he thought) like a saw. At that moment, his brothers grabbed their bows and leapt behind trees to avoid being shot. Artorius did not see where his knife went. Instead, he pulled out his sword from his back, ready to fight......

O great * he muttered and he whipped out his sword. * Well i gave you a chance to surrender * he came at Artorius, and clashed swords with him. Then with his leg he kicked out Artorius's leg causeing him to fall down. Faramir then placed a sword at his neck * I Don't want to fight. Just tell me who you are.

((That's God-moding.)) Artorius was knocked to the ground, but as the Gondorian man held his sword against his throat, his brothers appeared, with their bows at the ready, aiming at the man. After contemplating on several scenarios that could occur, Artorius settled on being diplomatic. "All right, if we all put our weapons away, I'll tell you where we are from," he reasoned with as amiable a manner he could muster while being held next to an extremely sharp blade. Artorius sheathed his sword and his brothers lowered their bows. "Anyways," Artorius continued, "I am a former officer of the Rohanian ranged cavalry. I was the commander of a division. My brothers -He motioned with his hands towards his brothers.- were subcommanders. After being discharged from the army, we continued to serve the King as rangers."

(Actaully in the rules it says you can hurt your enemy. Just not fatally))
*he nodded and sheathed his sword * I am Faramir, the ruler of Ithilien and captian of Gondor * he helped the man to his feet *

"I see," Artorius said as he was pulled up and onto his feet. "So, we are not that much different, except for the fact that you are higher ranking. So you lead the Ithilian Rangers?" He glanced around the trees, scanning the surroundings for any sudden movements. Of course Orcs rarely ventured near Fangorn Forest, so there really was no need to worry.

"It was deemed necessary by the King.... For reasons unknown to me. Afterall, he never really told me everything he was thinking, as I was only a commander of a division," Artorius replied. "So, what were you doing in these woods anyways? The Ents do not really like humans much."

"So, why are you camping in Fangorn Forest, particularly? Is there any specific reason?" Artorius inquired.
