The quick steps of the young elf were all that could be heard as he ran on through the forest. His long hair flew out behind him as his legs carried him off across the forest floor. He could have run forever...run till his heart burst. His energy was never-ending. His weariness slow in coming. This was a time to enjoy...running through the great forest of the elves...
It resembled his homeland much. Though the trees here posessed a certain beauty which Mirkwood could rival only at times. This land was timeless. No evil seemed to be able to penetrate the deep woods and only good dwelt here.
Such were Legolas' thoughts as he sped across the forest floor, his feet hitting the soft earth and sending him off once again. So at last he came to a small stream. Its water was clear, showing no trace of murk or dirt. It was perfect, and as he stopped to drink the song of the stream began to ring in his ears.
