Valcon rode into Rivendale well after nightfall. He was wearing his full armor and his sword was on his hip ready to be drawn. Ever seince he had entered he knew that Elven warriors had watched him ready to shoot him down. He had come here to learn a long dead magic from the elves. He was hoping someone still knew of it and could help him.

The sound of horse hooves pounding woke Itarelde from where she had fallen asleep on her couch in the living room of her home. Not too startled, for people often rode into the city at night, she walked to her large window and looked out. She saw Valcor (didn't know his name yet) and his horse pacing around the street near her home. She put on some real clothes and ventured outside with her sword. "Who are you?" she asked, partly concerned with the warrior's apperence.

His dark gaze turned tot he elf who had come from her house." Lord Valcon. Ex-general of the Mordor armies. I am here looking for an Elf who is old even by your race's standards." He said as he dismounted and allowed the horse to wander. He knew the elves wouldn't hurt it." Who are you?"

"My name is Itarelde Telrunya," she said, regaining her courage a bit, "And are you with us or against us?" She moved her hand ever so slowly towards the hilt of her sword. She didn't trust this man, and she didn't want to take any chances with her life.

He smirked alittle." Itarelde, if I wanted you did you would be. Don't worry." He said his voice grim as he stood there calmly." Now answer my first question. Do you have an ancient elf. From before Sauron's time?" He asked her again letting his hand rest on his sword hilt showing he would fight.

*she searched her brain* "ummm... I believe Elrond is older than Sauron," she ventured, "but I'm not sure."

" What are the chances of me being able to speak with him?" He asked quickly his hopes rising.

"I'm not quite sure where he is at the moment, I just got back into Rivendell. If you would desire to speak with him, I could ask him to come when daylight comes. Why do you desire to speak with an ancient elf anyway?" she asked, unsure of why he was asking her these questions.

"Well, there is always the inn," she said, resisting the urge to say something sarcastic, like, "I have an empty spot in my barn if you want that," but she didn't, knowing it would probably be her last words. Instead, she forced a smile and pointed to the direction of the inn.
